A student-run consulting organization providing meaningful pro bono political strategy for Democratic campaigns across the country.
PSG was started in fall 2024 by three Cornell students who kept running into the same gap: Cornell had politics clubs and consulting clubs, but nothing that put the two together, specifically focused on campaigns, elections, and the mechanics of how candidates actually win.
The idea driving PSG is straightforward. Campaigns with resources hire consultants. Campaigns without them figure it out alone, or don't. That gap shouldn't decide elections. PSG exists to close it by providing sharp, strategic support that's typically out of reach for grassroots candidates, entirely pro bono.
Our members come from across Cornell, including government, economics, CS, ILR, communications, and more. They work together on real client projects and bring a range of perspectives that most political shops can't put in the same room.
Founded fall 2024 by Kashyap Rajesh, Avi Dhyani, and Arnav Chinchankar.
We offer pro bono consulting across three core service areas. Every project team consists of Cornell students with the time, drive, and skills to do the work properly.
Social media strategy, content calendars, digital outreach plans, and engagement guides built for your district and voter base.
Donor research, email and SMS templates, call time materials, and event planning to build and run your financial operation.
Campus mobilization, youth outreach, GOTV planning, and volunteer management to organize your base and turn out voters.
Over 10-week engagements, PSG analysts have helped 15+ campaigns win on the ground, online, and at the fundraising table, from local races to congressional districts.
PSG members get real campaign experience, a strong community, and a front row seat to how politics actually works.
PSG offers students at Cornell a real front row seat to politics. Regardless of your background in politics, PSG has a place for you.
PSG is built around causes, candidates, and people that members genuinely care about, creating a warm, collaborative community where strategy is learned through real, hands-on work, surrounded by smart, driven people who support and push each other.
Being part of PSG means more than just being a political consultant. It's the opportunity to contribute something new at Cornell, work on meaningful campaigns, and help build something that will forever be a part of Cornell's history.
Working directly with grassroots candidates is incredibly rewarding, because I can actually see how our work helps real people and local communities while I'm learning how campaigns really operate on the ground.
PSG's energy as a new club immediately stood out to me the second I walked into the interview room. Going through the process helped me realize how passionate they were about creating tangible change. Since then, it has been an invaluable source of learning, community, and growth in a career area that I am incredibly interested in.
A sample of some of the speakers who have joined PSG meetings to speak directly with our members. Stay tuned. We're excited to share what's coming next semester.
